On short putts, focus on process not the outcome
On short putts, stay in the process of making your putt: the stroke, and starting the ball on line at the right pace. 'Making the putt' is getting it in the hole, but the instructor concerns himself only with what he needs to do, and finds that when he does that he tends to make it. Set your mind on where to start it and what pace, not on the outcome.
