Practice the new strike, not the fault
The instructor says repeated practice can make a golfer good at a fault, because an occasional good result can make more practice seem like the answer. He wants the student to build a basic chip strike first, get that strike ten out of ten, and let feel and touch come after the contact pattern is reliable.
