Scrape the club along a tabletop with your torso
The instructor's core pitching move: picture the club shaft resting on a flat tabletop and move it back and through with your torso, scraping the tabletop with the whole shaft. He doesn't want the wrists and arms working much to start — you're not lifting the club — and the shoulders stay level on the tabletop the whole time.
