Pause at the top, then shift the right hip under the left
Craig Hanson describes a drill: pivot up to the top so everything collects and the right side draws back, pause for a split second or two, then get across so the right knee covers the ball and the right side moves underneath the left with a lateral shift. He notes that around impact the right hip is 10 to 17 degrees lower than the left.
