Play a plugged bunker lie with the heel of the wedge

For a plug lie, open the clubface drastically and use the sharp, tapered heel of the wedge to dig into the sand. Grip firmly with the back of the left hand, open up, cut into the sand with almost no follow-through, and squeeze sand under the ball to pop it out. The instructor says sand covering the ball in a plug lie generally produces substantial forward spin.
