Don't out-swing your body to control wedge spin
The difference between a controlled one-hop-and-stop wedge and one that spins way back off the green comes down to swing size. Excess spin-back comes from out-swinging your body and taking too big a swing — a seven-iron-length swing with a sand wedge. Anything extra at the top gives you a little extra at the bottom, and that extra action puts the extra flare (spin) on the shot.
