Three-stick drill to groove a 45-degree hip turn

A drill to feel an unrestricted, body-friendly hip turn: set up three clubs or alignment sticks — one through to the target, one at about 45 degrees off the target-line stick to represent the hip turn, and one across your hips to judge how much they turn. Standing extended rather than flexed forward, turn your hips in a circle to match the 45-degree stick; you should feel the trail leg straighten and see space form between your legs.
