Keep trail index finger firm when it's down the putter
Press the index finger slightly against the side of the putter grip to begin with, and going back and through, keep the index pad pressing to the palm pad and keep the finger firm and constant without getting wiggly or loose. In putting even a minuscule face manipulation from finger movement can hugely change the outcome, so the goal is zero finger action.
