Wrapping up a driver fitting, the fitter frames the choice as a trade-off. If the goal is purely maximum distance, he would recommend the combo that produced the most ball speed. But if the goal is to score by eliminating one side of the golf course, he favors the combo the player consistently hit on one side of the line.
