Keep lead-leg flex; don't straighten the knee early

Craig Hanson describes keeping some flex in the lead leg so it can slide further forward, and warns against straightening the lead leg too quickly. He says doing so gets the right hip too high and forces you to throw the club, which can produce a snap hook, a shot off the toe, or a block. As a drill he suggests bending the left knee, keeping some flex in it, and getting pressure under the left foot.
