Match your wedge setup to the shot distance
For short wedge shots, scale your setup and swing to the distance you are actually hitting rather than defaulting to a full-swing setup. The coach narrows the stance, sets up closer, keeps weight a little more on the left with a hip bump, and above all keeps the arm swing incredibly short. He explains that players guide wedges when the stance is too wide and the swing too long; narrowing up and shortening the swing lets you fully rotate through and commit to the shot instead of easing up to hit it.
