Finish where you aim to stop decelerating on chips
The instructor addresses deceleration by shifting the intent from the ball to the finish. If you have the intention of getting to a defined finish position, it stops you backing out and just hitting the ball. He says you should not finish at the ball; instead concentrate on where the swing needs to finish, which is where he ends his own swing.
