Ball off the ground naturally starts right and draws
Explaining the geometry of a ball struck off the ground: if you leave the ball back in your stance and catch it before the club tracks back around to the centre of the swing circle, the club is still heading out to the right at impact. So, he says, the natural shot off the ground sets off to the right of target and then draws back to the left. Most people fight this by trying to hit it dead straight, which goes against the swing's natural geometry.
