Avoid lateral shift so the club goes around not over
The instructor explains that a lateral shift of the pelvis reverses the spine's tilt, sending the upper and lower spine in opposite directions. Because of that, when you try to rotate, the club goes up and over rather than around, adding a more vertical element to the motion.
