Fit putter length with naturally hanging arms
To evaluate putter length, bend into putting posture, let the arms hang, and then grip the club. A putter that forces the arms to fold creates deeper elbow and wrist angles that move more and produce an inconsistent, wobblier stroke. Look for arms that are almost straight with a slight elbow bend so the joints stay quiet while the shoulders rock.
