Breathe in through your nose to complete the backswing
To stop rushing and complete the backswing, the instructor borrows a breathing cue from the gym: take a long, deep breath in through your nose on the way back, then let it go / exhale on the way down. Breathing in slowly gives you time to complete the backswing — a short little breath means you never finish — and exhaling on the downswing helps you accelerate through.
