Swing with rhythm using a one-and-two count
The instructor stresses that a good swing is not one even, wooden pace but has a rhythm with a buildup of speed. To feel it, count 'one and two' as you swing, using it as an auditory cue for the accelerating motion. He also suggests watching great players so their rhythm rubs off on you subconsciously; use imagery if that suits you, or the 'one and two' count if you are more auditory.
