Shift-then-turn drill: club on shoulders, feet together
To groove the correct sequence, the coach has the golfer place a club across the shoulders and stand with the feet together, then feel the shoulders turning toward the target while shifting and turning: shift first, then turn, and shift toward the target as you turn back. It isolates the shift-and-turn feel.
