Break the downswing into checkpoints
Break the downswing into quarter- and half-swing segments from the top. At pre-impact, use the inside of the lead leg as the club-position checkpoint; from there, pin the face and let the trail arm go from bent to straight while keeping the trail wrist cupped into post-impact. The coach says breaking the swing down can build a feel for where the hands, arms, and club are during a full motion.
