Define width as body-to-hands distance, not clubhead
Porzak reframes what 'width' in the backswing means: it is the distance between the center of the body (the sternum) and the hands, not how far the clubhead travels. Maintaining that hand-to-body distance is what he calls 'connection' — the sternum and the hands staying pointed at each other. He treats the distance and the connection as one and the same thing.
