Hit a hybrid down and through from a wood setup
For hitting a hybrid, the coach describes a wood-style setup - ball position moved up closer to where a wood would be, with a slightly wider stance - but then striking it like an iron, hitting down and through the ball and past it rather than trying to elevate it off the ground. He notes the forward ball position and wider stance already make the ball go higher, so hitting down and through is what's more required, and that this stabilizes the club face and compresses the ball more.
