Stay down and hear short putts go in

A very common short-putt fault is looking up too early because you're anxious about whether it's going in; as the eyes go, the ball gets dragged to the left for a right-handed golfer. Fix it by looking at the back of the ball and staying looking down through the stroke, letting yourself hear the ball go in rather than trying to watch it.
