Hold-off impact drill for a connected, cleaner strike
To stop the clubhead flipping past the hands through impact, the coach has the player hold the club off at impact like a direct extension and feel like zero clubhead moves past the wrist, letting the core control the motion. Being able to stop the club right at impact proves you have connection throughout the swing; once the club disconnects, its momentum carries through and the impact breaks down. He calls it a great drill for a more efficient impact position and clubface awareness.
