Stand tall and bend forward to flatten the wedge sole
To fix the heel-digging chipping fault, do the opposite of squatting down: stand up taller, get a little closer to the ball, and then bend over forward. Bending forward sets the sole flat on the ground so you can use the club's bounce properly through the turf. A slight toe-down bias is better than being on the heel.
