Push off the inside of the leg instead of sliding
The instructor describes working the inside of the leg: from that position the player can push, and that push sits him down into the shot, whereas being too lateral turns it into a slide - and people who slide too much tend to over-rotate. The pattern he names is working the inside of the leg in the backswing and then bracing against that knee in the downswing.
