Get into athletic posture, don't just stand to the ball
The instructor contrasts simply standing to the ball with getting into an activated, athletic posture, like a sprinter in the starting blocks. He warns that if you just stand to the ball passively, your body has to wake up during the swing, which he says is unlikely to result in any consistency.
