Pour water out of each ear to swing on a circle
To keep the swing path (what the instructor calls the 'circle') pointing at the target, he gives a feel cue: imagine pouring water out of your lead ear on the way back and your trail ear on the way down. This helps move the shoulders on a circle and keep that circle pointing straight toward the target.
