Roll putts over a ball marker to see the true line
The instructor's favorite green-reading drill uses flat ball markers pushed flush into the green. Put the ball behind one marker with a second marker three or four inches in front, then roll the ball over the front marker without worrying where it finishes, just starting it over the marker. Watching where the ball then travels shows the real line the putt takes.
