Practice wedges because loft exposes swing flaws

The coach explains that the loft on a wedge exposes weaknesses: if you are moving around or using your hands excessively, it shows up as poor contact. Because the wedge has the sharpest leading edge in the bag, hitting behind the ball digs in, so wedges require very clean contact; even with decent contact, scooping makes the ball ride up the face and go nowhere.
