Into the wind, flight it down instead of punching low

For shots into the wind, the speaker avoids punching the ball low because a low punch hits and runs, making the distance hard to judge. Instead he slows the club down and chokes down slightly, shortening the club to hit a controlled trajectory that reduces spin. He notes a 7-iron he normally hits 166 yards goes about 153 played this way, coming off lower because it is effectively a shorter club.
