Avoid the reverse tilt on chip shots

A common chipping fault is pushing weight forward but then reversing the upper body into a long-game, driver-launch setup. That tilt in the shoulders wrecks your low point on a chip-and-run: you hit way behind the ball and catch it heavy, or hit the ground before the ball, or thin it. Keep the weight forward without the upper-body reverse tilt to get crisp contact.
