Build a reverse-overlap putting grip to quiet the wrists
Don't grip the putter like a driver, because that lets the wrists work too much in the stroke. Instead use the classic reverse overlap: all the fingers of the right hand on the grip, the left-hand index finger laid over the knuckles, and both thumbs down the middle of the shaft. It lengthens the thumb and locks the wrist a bit more.
