Set the ball one club-width inside your lead heel
For a standard iron setup the instructor plays the ball one club-width inside the lead heel, and keeps it there for every club. With longer clubs you stand gradually further away so the ball looks further forward, but it stays just inside the lead heel. Shoulders are fairly level with the trail shoulder slightly lower, and weight is very even.
