Walk up and tap short putts, no set stance

A drill for nervy short putts: walk up to the ball with no set stance and just tap it in, not caring whether it drops. Then add feel by visualizing the ball trickling at a pace that just goes over the front lip. The point is to get out of conscious, tight thinking and become more sensory over short putts.

Try it

  1. I want you to walk up, tap it in. No set stance
  2. visualize the ball trickling just at a pace. That's just going to go over the front lip

Why this context matters

Working on the two-to-three-foot putts Niall said made him nervous.
