Let the left arm leave the chest instead of a towel drill
Craig Hanson notes the common advice to keep a towel under the arms for connection, and says one disadvantage is that it can cause flipping. He suggests instead trying a move where the left arm separates and leaves the chest, which he says helps retain angle in the right wrist and prevent flipping. He adds that flipping affects the angle of attack and can make the club bottom out too early, causing fat and thin shots and too much face rotation.
