Bag drill: shaft and clubhead strike together
Place a golf bag (or a box - it just needs to be something solid) just inside your lead foot and make small swings smacking it. Feel the shaft and the club head hit the object at exactly the same time, rather than throwing the head at it so the club head arrives well before the handle. This grooves the feel of the shaft and head arriving together.
