Stop at pocket high then rotate through for connection
The Porzak Golf coach describes a drill he's seen tour players use for distance control, clubface stabilization and connection: take a golf swing but stop it at pocket high, then rotate through and hit it. He points to being able to hit the ball straight from that stopped-still position as pure connection moving the club through impact, with the face showing no rotation.
