Control chip distance by changing loft, not swing
A simpler way to chip: keep the same setup, same swing, and same speed and length of swing every time, and change distance only by changing the loft of the club you use. Less loft makes the ball come off faster and go further. For example, if the pin is another 10 yards on, use a lower-lofted club like an 8-iron and make the same motion.
