Play the lob (parachute) shot around the green
The lob or 'parachute' shot goes very high, lands very softly, and uses the far back edge of the club. Play the ball opposite the instep of the lead foot, widen the stance slightly, open the face a little, lower the handle, and put the thumb down the bottom of the grip. Add loft at the start while keeping the butt end stable and making the club work upward; do not roll the club in, because that moves it too far behind and can produce fat or thin strikes.
