Put the elbows together for more lag and better contact

The coach explains that keeping the trail elbow leading lets you release the club later, so it enters at a better angle almost instantly. He says that when he has players put their elbows together he sees a better angle of attack and better contact right away, with more angle and more lag, because when the arm stays in front of the body the club has no reason to early-release.
