Chipping into grain: ball forward and use the bounce
Playing a chip into sticky grass growing toward you, coming in steep catches too much of the turf and snags. The instructor keeps the swing plane solid but moves the ball a little further forward and uses a less-lofted club (around a 54, not the most lofty), so the bounce works through the grass. Feel the club pass through and it will not get caught.
