Drop your head at address for a primary gaze

Standing tall over a putt tilts the head so you view the ball out of your periphery - a 'secondary gaze' where depth perception is nowhere near as good as looking straight down at it with a primary gaze. The fix is to allow the head and upper part of the back to drop down at address so your eyes look straight down, which improves depth perception over the ball.
