Don't ram short putts; respect capture speed

The speaker advises against trying to ram putts in, which he says effectively makes the hole smaller. A putt struck too hard that catches the edge (past its 'capture speed') tends to lip out, whereas a putt hit with proper speed — one that would stop about six to 12 inches past the hole — has a chance to drop even when it catches the side.
