Single-leg balance drill for lead-side stability

A balance drill for building left-leg stability. Make your hands into an X shape and take your set-up, then take the right foot off and balance on the left foot alone. Once that is steady, turn the shoulders back and through while holding the finish without losing balance. The instructor says this improves left-leg balance and that it is good to do the same on the other side.

Try it

  1. First of all, make your hands X-shaped and take a set-up.
  2. When you do this, you're going to take your right foot out.
  3. So standing on one foot is our first step.
  4. If this gets better to some extent, turn your left shoulder and turn your right shoulder.
  5. You have to hold the finish.
