Read what's behind the ball, not just the lie
When judging a lie, don't only look at the ball's lie itself — look at what's behind the ball too. The coach notes this is where a lot of people get it wrong: most golfers just look at the lie itself, when they should look right back behind the ball at what the club has to travel through.
