Hit a fairway finder under pressure

Under pressure you tend to swing quicker and faster, so instead of your full-out stock driver, develop a fairway finder. Tee it down, swing at about 80% and give up 30-40 yards (it doesn't matter), or drop to a 5- or 3-wood - you will often carry it about as far as your normal driver anyway while keeping it in play.
