Most torso rotation happens in the first move
Analyzing Mo Norman's swing, Graves says a majority of the backswing movement occurs in the first foot-and-a-half. At the point that looks like just the first move away, there is already about 50 degrees of torso rotation, and it only goes to about 80 degrees at the top — so most of the upper-body rotation happens in that early move.
