Set a neutral lead-hand grip with three checkpoints
For a right-handed neutral lead-hand grip, run the handle diagonally from just above the little finger to the middle joint of the forefinger. Wrap the hand so the lead thumb points down the right-center of the grip, then check for two to two-and-a-half visible knuckles and a thumb-forefinger V aimed toward the middle of the trail shoulder.
