Push off the inside of your trail foot like a pitcher
The coach uses a pitcher analogy to explain loading the trail side: an athlete throwing, batting, or running does not push from the flat of the foot but from the inside of it, which creates the pop and lets you open up and get an angle. Feel the load and the push come from the inside of the trail foot so you don't get stuck.
