Set putting ball position just ahead of your zipper

The coach sets putting ball position by going to the zipper (dead center of the stance), holding the club straight down, and placing the ball just ahead of that point. He says the ball just ahead of that spot sits just in front of the top of the pendulum, so the putter naturally starts swinging up.
